

Dorina Goetz (Puha), 44, of Henderson, NV, peacefully passed away on January 26th, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Dorina was born in Constanta, Romania, the daughter of Corneliu and Aurelia Puha (Voicu). Dorina graduated from Sunset High School in 1998, then went on to join the U.S. Coast Guard in 2004, she achieved the rank of E-6 and served until honorably discharged in 2012. Dorina Earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Touro University International.
Dorina married Westin C. Goetz on March 26, 2005, in Milwaukie, OR. Married nearly 20 years, Dorina and her husband established a loving home of foster and adopted children. Her love and compassion of the orphaned was remarkable. In addition to being a foster parent, Dorina spent her days as a full-time homemaker and dedicated homeschool Mom. She served the foster care community even further by volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) advocating for the needs of many foster children in the Las Vegas area. Dorina loved to plan weddings and special events, both personally for many friends and professionally for Hope Church Las Vegas. Dorina had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling with her family. Dorina learned to love the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed watching her children explore nature and run “wild and free”. Many of her other passions included mentoring and discipling Christian women, Bible study, and dedicated service to multiple churches over her many years following Christ. Dorina lived each day with purpose, she was a loyal friend to many.
Remaining to cherish Dorina’s memory are her husband Westin C. Goetz; children Micah-Grace Goetz, Olivia Goetz, and Carson Goetz; her parents Corneliu Puha and Aurelia Puha; her sister Elena Puha and nephew Lucas Tapia. Her in-law families, parents Clayton Goetz and Linda Mingo Goetz, sister Michaela Goetz; parents Jody Sorenson and Doug Sorenson, brother Parker Sorenson and fiancé Jessica Shudy. Among many other extended family and friends.
Veteran Burial with military honors will be held at 10:40 am on February 14th, 2025, at the Southern NV Veterans Memorial Cemetery. 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11: 00 am on February 15th, 2025, at Hope Church Las Vegas. 850 E Cactus Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89183. Colorful Attire suggested.
