Doris Sue Weiss

Doris Sue Weiss, 87, passed away July 10, 2022. Doris was born March 4th, 1935 in Duluth, MN to Toby Feller and Leo Hystzer. Dorsey, as she was known, moved to Detroit, MI where she married the love of her life, Jerome Weiss. Dorsey and Jerry lived and raised their 3 sons in Detroit until 1977 when they moved to Las Vegas, NV.

While in Detroit, Dorsey was a long-time volunteer at Mt. Sinai hospital. Upon moving to Las Vegas, she worked in fashion industry as a salesperson and model. She went on to design services in the furniture business and then sold timeshares for several years. Dorsey also volunteered at Nathan Adelman Hospice.

Dorsey is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, Jerome Weiss, her brother, Robert Hystzer and her son, Brian Weiss.

She is survived by her children, Leland Weiss of Henderson, NV, Jeffrey and Yvonne Weiss of Houston, TX and her grand-daughter and fiancé, Taylor Weiss and Brannen Davis of Orlando, FL.

A funeral service for Doris will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness or Three Square Food Bank in Las Vegas.
