

Eleanor Lois Pinkett Tate, age 95, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born July 30, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Lewis Richard Pinkett and Mary Etta Virginia Lee.
Lois was the eldest of nine children. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at the age of 12. Was an usher, Sunday School teacher and choir member serving God. Being Christ-like was the #1 priority in her life.
She graduated from Abington High School and took advanced business courses at Berean Business School in Philadelphia. Lois married Wilton C. Tate on July 13, 1957. They had one son, Bryan K. Tate.
She was employed by the Department of Defense and worked at the Naval Depot in Philadelphia for 30 years. After retiring, Lois and family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada – reuniting with her sister Inez Anderson on July 13, 1978.
Lois visited several churches in Las Vegas seeking the right fit. Her sister Inez contacted the 700 Club who recommended Trinity Temple led by Pastor Stewart. They both visited Trinity and decided to become members. Lois was a faithful member and tither. She believes you cannot outgive God.
Lois is preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and four sisters. She leaves to grieve her beloved son Bryan, daughter-in-law Janelle, stepson Ronald (Cheryl), sisters Betty and Myrna, two brothers, nephews Eric Edwards and Wallace Green, and grandsons Robert and Eric. In addition to a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends for Lois will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral will occur Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. Following the service a committal will occur at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
Lois would like to leave everyone with these words: "I had a great life! God was very good to me. He placed me in a family of Believers. This was the greatest blessing of my life. A family history that includes preachers, singers, deacons and doers of the word of God. Ancestors that believed in God and lived the Christian life. They were an inspiration to me. Family, I pray that you saw God in my daily mundane activities. Love to all."
