

Emilio “Frank” Caccam, 86, a long-time resident of the Las Vegas area, passed away on November 18, 2013 at the HealthSouth Rehabilitation Facility after complications experienced on October 22. Frank was born June 5, 1927 to Emilio and Remegia Caccam in Baguio City, Philippines. He was married to his loving wife, Doris Caccam, for 29 years. Frank enlisted into the United States Navy in 1948 where he served proudly for 27 years. He retired in 1975 as a Chief Petty Officer. He then worked for the US Navy as a Civil Servant for 10 years as manager for the CPO club at the US Naval Base in Long Beach, California. He also worked as General Foreman (Food Service Operations) at the US Naval Regional Medical Hospital in Carson, California. Frank loved watching sports (football, basketball and golf, to name a few), going to the movies with his son, eating out at seafood buffets, playing golf and going dancing with his wife (in his younger days), playing mahjong and poker, the horse races, watching Korean dramas on NetFlix , reading, listening to music, going to Sam’s Club for some ‘fresh air’ aka getting the $1.50 hot dog and drink special, teasing his ‘grand baby’ Julianna, and cooking for his family. He had a wicked sense of humor and a sharp mind. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lanai Caccam; his sisters, Ida Thompson, Elsa Eugenio and Josie Sison; his grandson, David Dacus; and his loving girl, Muffin. He is survived by wife, Doris; his sons, Noah Sr., Frank Jr. and Robert; daughter-in-law, Cindy; step-daughter, Linda Varley; grandchildren, Julianna Caccam, Fred Walls, Chris Walls, Noah Caccam Jr., Isaiah Micah Caccam and Carmen Caccam Olsen; and his loving and faithful dog, Niko. He is also survived by his brothers, Dave Caccam of Virginia, Ping Caccam of Manila, Philippines, and sister, Lilia Tacal of California. Memorial services will be held from 12-3pm, on November 23, 2013 at Palm Mortuary. A Color Guard and Honor Detail will be held at graveside at 3pm at Palm Cemetery.
