As a young man he was an altar boy at St. Charles Church and attended school in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He married Joan Resnick and they recently celebrated 61 years together. He worked as an electric motor repairman and at the GE factory in Pittsfield before moving to Las Vegas in 1980 where he worked as a property manager and locksmith. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing and antiquing. Ernie will be deeply missed and leaves behind his wife Joan, children Lisa (Laurel) Engelman, Michelle (Thomas) Hatch and Ernest (Cindy) Belair, Jr., grandchildren Aspen Belair, Lace Engelman and Dylan (Morgan) Hatch and his first great-grandchild expected in December 2024.
Ernie was preceded in death by his mother, father and siblings Rosemary Wrinn, Elaine Maschino, Julia DeCarlo, William Toomey and Patricia Hoag. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on October 11th at Palm Eastern Mortuary 7600 South Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89123
