

Esther Hernandez passed away peacefully on the morning of April 18, 2026, surrounded by love. Born on March 22, 1953, Esther lived a life defined by devotion to her family, kindness to others, and quiet strength that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Esther was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph; her four children: Qiana; Sarah and her husband Gary; Phillip and his wife Chary Lei; and Joseph and his partner, Dustin. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Elijah, Savannah, Kobe, Giannah, Adam, Brooklyn, Leilah, and Zachary, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Esther is also survived by her siblings George, Corina, Ruben, Theresa, Victor and many nieces and nephews with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and deep family bonds. She cherished the time spent talking, laughing, and simply being together with her siblings, moments she held close to her heart.
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Esther eventually made her way to Oxnard, California, where she and Joseph Sr. built a home and raised their four children. A receptionist by trade, Esther approached her work with warmth and professionalism, but her greatest passion and proudest achievement was her family. She embraced her roles as wife, mother, and grandmother wholeheartedly, finding her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved.
Esther was known for her infectious laugh and great sense of humor, which could light up any room and bring smiles to those around her. Her warmth, wit, and love for meaningful conversation made her a joy to be with and a treasured presence in the lives of her family and friends.
Esther’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched with her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
