

Lee's career included working in the Department of Defense motor pool and waitressing in fine dining at the Tropicana Hotel, where she retired in 1982. Lee moved to Las Vegas in 1959-1960. She joined the Nevada Garden Clubs in 1962. She was a member of multiple groups within the Garden Club. Lee was a founding member and President of the Growers Study Guild. She went on to become the Nevada State Garden Clubs President from 2001-2003 and Pacific Region Director 2003-2005. She served on numerous national garden club committees and was a lifetime member of Nevada Garden Clubs, Pacific Region Garden Clubs and National Garden Clubs. At the time of her passing she was serving as chairman for the State of Nevada and Pacific Region Blue Star Memorial markers placed at Veteran and Police memorial sites in the Nevada.
Lee was preceded in death by her father, William Hale and mother, Elizabeth Mollette Webb.
She is survived by daughter, Lillian Gunning Baca; grandchildren, John and Teresa; great-grandchildren, Jessica, JC, Joshua, Sarah and Connor; great-great-grandchildren, Beau, Avery and Audrina; and pet, Katie.
Visitation will be from 10:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday, May 5 with funeral to follow, both at Palm Mortuary (Eastern), 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 - 6:00pm on Saturday, May 5 at the Nevada Garden Club Building, 800 Twin Lakes Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89107.
Please donate in Lee's name to the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, any no-kill animal shelter or St. Jude's Ranch for Children. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother will be tremendously missed by her family. Per her request when family and friends think of her please do so with a glass of Chardonnay.
