I'll forever have fond and loving memories of worshipping and serving on the Stewardess Board at Fountain of Hope AME Church with Evelyn. She was a woman of great integrity, compassion and love.  She enjoyed helping and serving others. Evelyn was the epitome of grace, poise and excellence. She will be missed for her willingness to serve her LORD and Savior JESUS Christ by serving others; also for her beautiful smile and kind and gentle heart. 

Evelyn Martin was a woman of excellence. Any time you saw her she had an air of distinction. 
I remember when she approached my daughter, Shannan and I about directing Krystal's wedding.  She said very specifically, "I know it will be to our taste because you know I like things done right."
Evelyn will be remembered as a proud woman with much grace and class. But, most of all, she was in love with her God and her church..

Even though Evelyn and I were close in age, I aIways called her Mrs. Martin because she was more than a first name.  She was a warm, dignified and gracious woman of God who loved God, her family and her church.  I was honored to have been a part of her life and death.  I was privileged to see her pass from life to life.  Amen!!
