Dear Gary,
I know it has been 4 years since you left us,  but the memories live on forever.  I loved you since I was very young,  and I still think about those times when you were there for me, you were the most gentle, good natured cousin, always with a smile on your face,  never ever raised your voice to anyone,  you were content with whatever came your way.  You took life in stride, never complaining,  just took life with a smile and always made the best out of every situation.  We all miss you, but our love is always there.  Rest in Peace my dear Cousin,  and know that your loved ones think about you every day.   Love, your cousin,  Lori.

Dear Benita and Family,

We were very saddened to learn of the passing of Gary. We will always remember our first cousin Gary as a kind, soft spoken and generous individual. 
When ever we were in his presence he was always easy to approach and we enjoyed chatting and catching up with him on family matters.
Even though we had a large age difference I always felt comfortable speaking with him and he was always willing to help us out. I have a fond memory of bringing over an old reel to reel tape recorder to his home on Rockford Road in Bathurst Manor where he helped me to repair it. He was calm , cool and collected and was a man who could fix almost anything he put his mind to.
Although we did not see you often with your move to Las Vegas we will miss you and have only fond memories of you.

Dear Benita, Debbie and Michael,

Our deepest sympathy to all of you, my heart is broken in a million pieces, hearing this tragic news about Gary.  We go back so many years and our families were so close,  it is true that Allan and I were so close with each other because we were the same age but Gary was always very special to me as well.  Even though you guys moved to Las Vegas,  Gary always kept in touch either by e-mail or we would talk through Skype and I used to tease him about how he never aged. Last year when I had my first knee surgery I spoke to him on the phone and he was so concerned about me and what I had to go through.  I will always love him for his wonderful sense of humor, his caring and thoughtful ways, and most of all for the love that he always had for his family, including his cousins, I speak for myself now because I always knew how he felt about me and my family.  I will always remember our early years when you guys were in Toronto and we saw a lot of each other then.  May G-d give you the strength and support to face this tragedy together knowing that others are right with you and share in your grief.  Be close together and derive strength from each other, it is indeed a terrible loss, as everyone loved Gary.  Love always,  Lori and Mac and family. 

It is with tremendous sorrow that I write this memory of my Uncle Gary.  I have such fond memories of the times spent with him that go back to my early childhood years.   I fondly recall times that we visited him and my Aunt Benita at Rockford where he played with us, to times where he came to play and swim with us at our house.
I can recall our "wagers" on hockey games ( a coffee Crisp chocolate bar) which 9 out of 10 times resulted in a double of nothing scenario.
 He truly exemplified the character traits that a good person should have.  He would do anything for his family at any time of the day or night .  Any time a family member needed help with something mechanical he was there to fix it.  No project was too big.  I would often consult with him even recently on things in my house that I needed his advice on in order to fix.
I found out recently that he had been watching my 8 year old's ice hockey games that he had asked me to send him, from start to finish.  He would rehash Austin's game play with him.  
Even though he was over 3000 miles away he still managed to keep on top of our lives and show an interest.  I am so grateful that my boys and I had the opportunity to have a Skype call with him just last week.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and all who he  has touched over his truly remarkable life.
I am comforted knowing that he is at peace now with his parents and brother.
