Goldie was born in Iowa to Martha Elizabeth Taylor, age 27, and Earnest William Oliver, age 29. She was one of five children and was preceded in death by her two brothers and two sisters. Goldie spent the majority of her life in California before moving to Las Vegas in 2009 with her beloved husband, Don, who preceded her in death in 2020. The two first met while working together at the United States Postal Service, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and devotion.
She is survived by her daughter Georgia and Jim McLean and their family and son Steven and Caron Richardson and their family and Don’s daughter Dona Lynn Brown and her family.
A celebration of Goldie’s life will be held on Sept 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. Friends and family are invited to attend, share memories and continue her legacy of kindness and love.
