

Henry Colucci passed away peacefully in his sleep 8/13/2023 after being very ill and seen by many, many doctors. Henry was born in Brooklyn, New York to Mary Hoerckler on 03/31/1936, was adopted by Joseph Colucci, and raised by Mary & James Graaf in Selden, Long Island, New York. He attended school in Port Jefferson, Long Island. New York. His early years were spent training trotters, and fixing cars. Henry married Louise Fraticelli on 10/31/1962, Son James Colucci (3/15/1965) passed on 4/1/1981 & Matthew in 1966. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Louise Colucci, Son Jeffrey Colucci & wife Cora, half sister Donna Cincotta, husband Dan & two daughters, brother in law Joseph Fraticelli & wife Arlene, brother in law Richard & wife Patty & two daughters, and we have to mention long time friend with whom they couldn't have managed these last twenty years Carole Noel. Henry & Louise had a Bungalow Bar Ice Cream Truck business in Long Island. Henry & Louise moved to Las Vegas Nevada in 1963 moved back to New York in 1964 had three children, and moved back to Las Vegas in 1970. Henry drove a Taxi, then in 1977 joined the Teamsters 631 where he at first drove big rigs, and then settled down to become a Lead Foreman in the Convention industry at the Convention Center until he retired in December 1998. Finally Henry could do what he wanted to do all his life is help animals, he loved all animals, and couldn't even hurt a fly. He also became a Vegetarian. With his wife Louise they formed Colucci's Animal Trappers & Savers, inc. dba C.A.T.S., inc. on 12/14/1998 his slogan "No More Starving Animals" and the rest is virtually history that can be told by all the wonderful people he had to work with in Clark County. He was a long time member of the Can Club of Nevada, the Las Vegas Antique Bottle & Collectibles Club, the Las Vegas Numismatist Club, License Plate Club, he was a member of both Eagles Aerie 2672 & 1213, & The Teamsters Retiree. As an animal advocate Henry & his wife Louise were instrumental in having the SB54 Bill passed, they worked on it for two years, and it finally came to fruition in January of 2005, they were honored by having their license plate with any number, and they chose their "Lucky 13", Plate SN0013, later they obtained CATS9 also.
In lieu of flower we ask for donations to C.A.T.S., inc. C.A.T.S., inc. will be legally turned over to Joe Hamrock who runs Vegas Cat Rescue.
A visitation for Henry will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A reception will occur Monday, August 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
