

Herminia Miranda Lim went peacefully to be with the Lord on May 25, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 81. In the week leading to her passing, Herminia was able to spend precious time with her family and friends at her home in Las Vegas.
Herminia was born on September 22, 1944, in Surigao, Philippines, the daughter of Suriano Miranda and Apolonia Alpomando. She grew up in Surigao and attended Surigao Institute of Technology before moving to Cebu and attending Cebu Institute of Technology. At the age of 21, she married her husband of 61 years, Uldarico P. Lim in Bohol, Philippines on November 25, 1965. They began their lives together in Cebu Philippines where their four children were born.
In September of 1970 they immigrated to the United States and moved to Brooklyn, New York, to provide a better life for her family. She raised her family for seven years before moving to Livonia, Michigan. Once in Michigan, she was able to meet many of her friends by being involved in many groups, such as the Fil-Am of Michigan. During her time in New York and Michigan she worked retail and was the owner of multiple businesses selling clothing, make up, skin care, jewelry and accessories. Herminia also lived in Taipei, Taiwan and Dubai, UAE. While living in Dubai she was able to meet several celebrities, including Tiger Woods, Colin Montgomerie, Greg Norman, Lionel Ritchie, and Tom Jones.
Herminia enjoyed golfing, bowling, listening to music, dancing, traveling, gambling and spending time with her family. Some of her favorite places she visited were Hong Kong, the Great Wall of China, Frankfurt, Heidelburg, Amsterdam, Petra, Egypt, Rome, London, Paris and many countries in the Caribbean.
Herminia was known for her fiery personality, infectious laugh, and her love for her family. She loved all types of music, but she loved dancing to ABBA, the Bee Gees and many other Disco performers.
Herminia is survived by her husband, Uldarico Lim; daughter, Christine Lim; three sons Uldarico Lim Jr, Jerome Lim and Ronald (Amy) Lim; grand children Shikaya Lim Lately, Tyler (Shenika) Lim, Nicholas Lim and Carley Lim. She is also survived by her brother, Romeo Miranda; and sisters Myrna Miranda Caldoza and Norma Fe Miranda Orosco and their extended families.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Herminia will be held on Saturday, June 13th with a 9:00am visitation and 1:00pm service at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, Las Vegas, Nevada. A flower Tribute will be at 2pm and followed with a reception at 2:30pm
