Heskel “Akram” Shakerchi, a retail store owner and operator, of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday March 28, 2013. He was born in Baghdad, Iraq and was a resident of Las Vegas for five years. Akram is survived by his wife, Muriel of Las Vegas; daughter, Leila Shakerchi of Los Angeles, two sons, Victor (Orly) of Las Vegas and Eddie of Los Angeles; two brothers, Joe (Rachel) and Judah (Sadah), both of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren, Jonathan, Roy, Zoe and Jasper. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His heart was full of life, as those who knew him would be quick to agree. "We'll miss you, Dad. Your patience and presence will always be remembered and treasured." Funeral services will be on Sunday March 31, 2013 at 11:00am at King David Memorial Chapel with burial following at King David Memorial Cemetery. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
