I feel so lost without you here I miss hearing you call me pumpkin and tell me tell good night and you love me  I miss you so much dad Christmas is not gonna be the same anymore Hailey said to me the other day she wanted grandpa here Christmas morning again to watch her open her presents up I didn't know what to say to her except I do to 
I love you so much dad and miss you more then you can imagine love your daughter

I miss you dad I keep grabbing my phone to call you and it takes my breath away each time when I realize I can't its was hard enough when mom went to heaven now you too  sometimes life just doesn't seem fair  Blacky misses you so much dad he lays by the front door waiting for you to come home : (  You were the best dad you never said no to me and anytime I needed you you were there I am honored to be a part of you and to have you heart I love you more then you will ever know love your Pumpkin

It felt like a gut punch when Darcey let me know that you were gone.  I saw I had an e-mail from you and told my wife "I think Mr. Mercer is back from Texas".  She started smiling because she anticipated we would see you soon.  I never expected to get the news that I did.  After that initial shock, I started thinking about when we first met and you had me bring you root beer in the hospital and all of the snacks you had stashed and how all of the nurses loved you. Then I thought about when you showed me how much Blackie loved hot dogs and had me stuffing him with them.  And then the time when we tried to use our broken Spanish to look at a house and once we got in, the little girl started telling us everything that was wrong with it and how they had to use water from the swimming pool to flush the toilet...we laughed all the way back to your place about that.  And then the first time you met my wife and how she fell in love with you. You were/are definitely special. We will pray for you and your family through this difficult time.

Dad you were strong and very brave I don't think I could go threw all the pain and suffering that you did I so wish I could of took the pain away from you . I'm sorry we lost our fight together I know if you could of made it threw it you would have I had your back dad I really did but this was more powerful then me and you put together so I had to let you go it was one of my hardest things I ever had to do I miss you so much dad you were the kindest most loving and giving person I have ever known
