Jay DeRusso, 71, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada for the past 40 years, passed away August 16, 2014. He was born on January 17, 1943, in New Haven, Connecticut to Rachel (DeGennaro) and James John DeRusso. He retired from the casino industry in 2005. Jay was preceded in death by his father, James John DeRusso, and his step-father, John DeGennaro.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 13 years, Anji Wittman DeRusso; mother, Rachel; daughter, Tracey (Carl) Morawa of North Branford, Connecticut; sons, Jim (Stacy) DeRusso of North Haven, Connecticut, and Mike (Erin) DeRusso of Casper, Wyoming; granddaughters, Lilian Faith DeRusso, Danielle Nicole DeRusso, and Stephanie Morawa; mother-in-law, Deb Wittman; sister, Paula (Paul) Baran of Branford, Connecticut; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 21, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada.
