

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Jean F. McCourt, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Wilmette and Long Grove Il. Jean peacefully departed this world on January 14, 2025, after a brave battle with a chronic illness.
Jean was born on May 29, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Colleen Fotsch. She attended Queen of All Saints grade school, St. Scholastica high school, and received her Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University. In October 1957, Jean married John D. "Don" McCourt, and their 46-year marriage was a shining example of love and devotion.
Jean was known for her chic sense of style, her love of gardening, and her joy in sharing treasures she found while shopping with those she loved. Always on top of the latest fashions, she spent the nine decades of her life in effortless style.
Jean was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Don; her parents; her twin sister, Joan Larson; and her brother, Bill Fotsch. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Geri Fotsch; her children: Erin (Mitch) Omori, Shannon (Chuck) Fisher, J.D. (Kim) McCourt, Tim McCourt, and Jim McCourt; her nine grandchildren: Cullen, Cameron, and Mary Irene Omori; Chip (Heather), Johnny (Kelsey), Sarah, and Chris Fisher; Kayla (Jordan) Christensen; and Kelsey (Charlie) Umansky; and her great-grandchild, Charlie Fisher.
Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10 am. St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 7260 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89117. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Il at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (Ibda.org)
