Jennifer Adair-Cota, born February 10, 1970, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025. Jennifer was born to her mother, Audrey Ann Adair and father, Wayne Webster Adair on Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jennifer spent her youth going between Nevada with her mom, and Georgia with her dad. Jennifer’s love for her parents knew little bounds, which doesn’t mean she didn’t run away to Panama City for a joyride, a time or two.
Jennifer graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, NV. After graduating, she began working at various companies where she made a lot of life long friends. Jennifer even worked with her mother at a bank, which could be both a blessing and a curse if you know Jennifer and Audrey. Shortly after getting married, Jennifer had her daughter, Alexa.
She and her daughter moved for work until finally settling back in Jennifer’s home town of Las Vegas. Shortly thereafter, Jennifer began working in the Recorder’s Office for Clark County. Jennifer then transferred to the court system, where she would remain with Las Vegas Justice Court until her retirement in 2024. She had over a 20-year tenure with Clark County.
When Jennifer wasn’t at work, you could find her watching true crime, reading a book, or just enjoying some peace and quiet. Jennifer was always ready to provide a smile and a sarcastic remark. Jennifer had exquisite taste in all things. She loved to travel, and unfortunately never got to Hawaii, which was always her dream vacation.
Jennifer will be remembered sincerely and dearly because of who she was as a person. She showed every person unconditional love and acceptance if she truly liked them; and would still be polite even when she didn’t. Jennifer loved Eeyore and all things Disney. Jennifer swam with dolphins, she went on cruises, she loved going to the movies, she watched many shows on the Las Vegas Strip, she enjoyed concerts and plays, and she loved herself a nice steakhouse.
Jennifer married her husband, Jorge, January 1, 2018. His love for her will never know any limits.
Jennifer was prepared for anything, emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually. Jennifer was the epitome of strength and grace. She had a light that no matter the pain she felt, would not dim.
In her last days, she was no longer in pain after a long battle with cancer. She was able to hear goodbyes from people that loved her, and her closest family got to spend time with her and speak with her without any pushback. Everyone is sure she did not like that. To know Jennifer, is to know that she was stubborn and usually had a quick quip to say back to you.
Jennifer loved her dogs, Stella and Hank. She spoiled them rotten, and still nowhere near as close to how spoiled rotten Alexa was. Jennifer was a one of a kind woman, who we will always love to the moon and back.
Jennifer was preceded in death by both parents and had no siblings. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Jorge Alonso Cota; her daughter, Alexa Adair; grandson Jon Wayne Adair; father Jon J. Clay; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who will miss her dearly.
