

Jodi Marie Stinar, 49, died April 2, 2011 after an extended illness. She was adored by her family and friends and will be missed by all. Born and raised in Las Vegas, she graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in 1979, and was a 1984 graduate of Arizona State University. She was a sales executive in the hospitality and publishing industry for many years, including a 20+ year stint at the Flamingo Hilton. She spent much of her time with her favorite passions; playing with her four-legged ‘boys’, making her friends and family laugh, shopping, traveling and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her mother, Joan Stinar. She is also survived by her brothers John, James and Jeffrey; and sisters Jill Blanchette and Jori Medina; and sister-in-laws, Aimee Stinar, Linda Stinar, and Sangmi Nam Stinar and; brother-in-laws, Jerry Blanchette and David Medina. She leaves behind 13 nieces and nephews: Justin and Melissa Stinar; Fallon and Stephanie Dersch and Jeffrey Stinar; Megan, Jimmy, John Ryan, Peter and Daniel Stinar; Jorin Stinar, and Jared and Jillian Blanchette. She is also survived by her loving dogs she rescued from a shelter, Mickey and Mighty. A Rosary will be held at 9:15 a.m., prior to the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., both at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church on Thursday, April 14, 2011. The burial will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Palm Mortuary at 7600 South Eastern Avenue. The family requests donations be made in her name to St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church.
