How do you sum up someone’s life with a number of overused words….kind, generous, loving, respectful, handsome, successful?
Those family members, dear friends, and even acquaintances who had the privilege to walk beside Joe throughout his life know quite well the deep meaning of those words.
Joe was a retired securities trader and co-founder of Club Paradise, the Las Vegas men’s club, and “La Voce”, the local Italian American Newspaper.
He was born and raised in the Little Italy neighborhood in Chicago and later moved to Morton Grove, IL. Joe was a graduate of Roosevelt University in Chicago. After college he moved to Hollywood to try his hand at acting. While in California he began a career in securities trading until he moved to Nevada.
His true enjoyment and love of life was his family, friends, good food, and the revisiting of his favorite haunts to hear stories of times past. Joe loved his buddies, and was always the quintessential gentleman to the ladies. His laughter was contagious and he found good in everyone he met. One of his favorite songs was by Louis Armstrong…What a Wonderful World.
Joe is survived by his wife Jean Endres DeMeo; their children Gabrielle & Joey DeMeo; his daughter Jill Alberts of Chicago; grandchildren Sara & Jack; brothers Anthony and Marino DeMeo; sisters Angela Crovetti and Marie DeMeo. He was preceded in death by his parents Marian and Louis DeMeo
There will be a private memorial service for family and close friends
The DeMeo family wishes to extend their gratitude to Bart & Sue Masi, Kirk & Becky Brynjulson, and Tony Calabrese.
Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
