

Joyce passed away peacefully at the age of 83 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 7th, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York. Her early years were shared with her younger brother Gary forming a bond that was both unbreakable and filled with love. Joyce was known to all who knew for her intense warmth, deep affection, and unwavering love. She touched the hearts of all who knew her. These qualities illuminated the lives of everyone she encountered leaving a lasting impression on their hearts. Her time working at Stepping Stone Day School, an early childhood special education school, were some of her favorite days. Her life was filled with love, laughter, and an insurmountable affection towards others.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Benjamin Bruk; cherished children, David (Shari) Wachs and Jennifer (David) Ober; six grandchildren, Noah, Joshua, Jayden, Jesse, Jordan and Nikki; and two stepchildren, Jordan and Daniel Bruk and their children. A funeral service will be held at Louis Suburban Chapel in Fair Lawn, New Jersey on March 28, 2025, followed with burial at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Joyce’s memory can be made to Stepping Stone Day School. Stepping Stone Day School is a not-for-profit preschool program for children with special needs located in Queens, NY. All donations will be used to support the children in their classrooms and therapy sessions.
