She was born in Downers Grove, Illinois to David and Weslee Gietl on March 24, 1984.
In 2006, Kate earned her undergraduate degree in Education from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.
Kate married Tim Holt of Las Vegas, Nevada in 2009 on the Colorado River. While visiting the countries of Hungary, Austria and Germany, Kate and Tim were fortunate enough to be able to celebrate their 10-year anniversary by renewing their vows on the Danube River in June 2019.
Kate fulfilled a life-long dream by becoming a mother and giving birth to Tybalt David Holt on August 21, 2010.
Kate is survived by her parents David and Weslee; her sister and brother-in-law Susan and Matt Martin; her husband Tim; and her son Ty.
