In her youth, Lauren grew up with the security and love of her Ohana she rode horses, raced Go-Carts, played volleyball, won poetry awards about Papa’s Gulch, and was crowned Rodeo Queen in the Makawao Rodeo while in high school. She was open to do most anything, always bringing smiles and happiness everywhere she went.
During her senior year in high school Lauren was diagnosed with cancer which sent her on a journey that would show the world her fierce love and fearlessness. There are many stories of Lauren overcoming the odds, living life to the fullest and making sure all of her dreams came true.
While attending her first year at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia Lauren met the love of her life and within a short time became Mrs. Logan Ridge taking on the role of an Army wife when the two married in Lynchburg, VA on September 10th, 2016.
During her tour as an Army wife, she and Logan resided in Enterprise, AL, DuPont, WA, and Colorado Springs, CO. She supported Logan as he deployed twice in defense of our nation. Best of all, during this time they welcomed two beautiful boys into this world Daniel, age 5, and James, age 2.
Throughout Lauren’s adult life she shared her true love of life with everyone she met, hosting big dinners, going on camping trips, and still riding her pony.
Lauren will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, a sister, a best friend, and most importantly an amazing mom. While Lauren has moved on, her legacy will live forever in our memories, in her husband and two boys, and all of the smiles we have when we think about her.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on July 27th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flying W Ranch in Colorado Springs, CO.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up in Lauren’s name to continue her dream of growing up in our Upcountry Rodeo Ohana. Donations can be made to the Maui Youth Rodeo Organization at PO Box 1397, Kula, HI 96790.
