

Dr. Maria Isabel Singson, "Maribel", 71, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was born on November 19, 1945 to Dr. Mariano and Lucia Singson in Vigan, llocos Sur, Philippines.
Maribel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Summa Cum Laude honors from St. Paul University Manila, Philippines. After her college graduation, she was chosen as one of the ten most outstanding students of the Philippines for that year. Maribel received a Master of Education degree from Harvard University, PhD in Psychology and an MBA from University of Buffalo in New York State and Child Psychology Degree from St. Lawrence University. She worked as a professor in the State University of Buffalo before moving to Las Vegas where she worked as a School Psychologist for the Clark County School System for several years until retirement.
She loved doing things with her family and friends. She enjoyed ALL Las Vegas had to offer, especially when she was in the company of her mother, Lucia (deceased) and her sister Connie.
Maribel was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Atty. Manuel Singson and another brother, Professor Mariano Singson, Jr., who died recently on April 23, 2017.
She is survived by a sister, Concepcion R. Singson, M.D. (Connie); nephews Mark Nicholas (Mannix), Manuel Joseph (Manjo), Michael Thor (Mithor) and Mariano Dionisio (Mardi); and several grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery at 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89123 on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 4:00 pm with a dinner reception to follow at the same location.
The memorial service will be officiated by Father Mark F. Villanueva, a nephew, and parish priest of St. Josephine Bakhita located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Maribel's ashes will be brought home for memorial service and burial at the family plot in Loyola, Memorial Cemetery, Manila, Philippines.
