Marjorie was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 17, 1921. She was a nurse by profession. She and her second husband, Harold L. Johnson, retired at their lake home on Briggs Lake, MN. In 1998, as a widow, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be near her son Thomas and family. She lived to be 97-years-old.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; parents Bertha and Gunnar; brothers Bertle, Gordon, Donald and Gunnar Jr.; sister Shirley; and her dear son, Lauren.
She is survived by her two sons Thomas and Brian; four grandchildren Ryan, Heather, Adam and Aaron; one great-grandchild Tamara (Heather’s daughter); two daughters-in-law Lily and Linda; and several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was a strong, kind and generous woman and a great matriarch of her family.
Memorial services will be held in Las Vegas at the Palm Eastern Mortuary on Friday, September 21st at 4:00pm. Arrangements are yet to be made for Minneapolis where she will be interred at Fort Snelling.
