It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Marklin J. Perry on November 30 2021. Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Mark worked at Kmart for 40 years and made many lasting friends there that he considered a second family. After his retirement from Kmart he enjoyed spending the next several years helping care for his granddaughter whom he loved dearly. He also loved shooting pool and was the captain of his 9 ball team for many years and he absolutely loved his football. Chances are you if you would see him, he would be wearing a tee shirt of his favorite team, The Indianapolis Colts. Mark’s favorite hang out was the 4 Mile Bar where he loved watching his football with his many friends that he had made over the years. There was also his love of music if football wasn’t on. He loved listening to his rock music especially the 60’s and found it very relaxing.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Bertie Perry, mother Esther Perry (Bridge), sister Virginia Perry, brother Earl Perry, brother Richard (Dick) Perry, and brother Thomas Perry. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Diana Perry (Ward) daughter Jacquelyn George (Perry), granddaughter Madyson, brother Terrill Perry, sister Thelma Figg (Perry) and many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by many and we would love for all those who remember him to attend the memorial if they are able to do so.
