Maureen Lorraine Baker was born on August 12, 1947 in Altuna, Pennsylvania. Her parents, Jack and Pauline Box, welcomed Maureen into a loving family and taught her the value of hard work and provided skills for her to find success in her life.
Following the relocation of her family to California, Maureen attended high school in Sunnyvale, California where she was an excellent student. She attended two years of college at Cerritos Junior College in Norwalk, California where she studied business. After college, Maureen began a successful career in real estate both in California and later here in Nevada.
After her first marriage ended in divorce, it was while enjoying the day in a public park that Maureen met a handsome guy named Don Hartswick. Ultimately they dated, fell in love and that love sustained them as a couple for over 25 years.
Don and Maureen moved to Las Vegas in 2001 in connection with Don’s retirement but Maureen really enjoyed going to work each day and continued her real estate career here in Las Vegas for several years.
In her spare time, Maureen loved to read and she was pretty much glued to her electronic tablet. She loved watching Judge Judy and reality TV shows.
Maureen clearly loved her family and they in turn adored her. She was very generous to everyone and always helping people.
Maureen is survived by her husband Don; son Russell; daughter-in-law Violet; and her grandchildren Kyle and Alexandra.
