He was born on May 26, 1926 in Haiti to Antoine Myrtho Jadotte and Carmen Tassy Jadotte. He found his soul mate for life 60 years ago when he married Marguerite Celestin from Haiti.
Myrtho received his bachelor’s in accounting from College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours and Maurice Laroche School of Commerce. He held different prestigious position back in Haiti and also studied at Institute National de Statistique de Belgique. He moved to Chicago, Illinois in the late sixties to provide a better life for his family. In Chicago, he also took some accounting courses at Roosevelt University. He worked at Midland Hotel for over a decade and there he retired. In spite of all his accomplishments both academically and professionally, Myrtho was a humble man.
Myrtho loved playing a card game called Bezique with his wife, doing puzzles, and he always thought us the importance of getting a good education. He also enjoys reading and giving money to different charities. He lit up every room he was in. He was a kind-hearted gentleman that always loved to make people laugh. Although, he lost his father at a young age, but he was a great father to all of us, a great grandfather, and most of all a great husband.
He is survived by his wife Marguerite Jadotte, and his six children: Marie Ange Roc, Jacques Jadotte, Carmen Alcindor, Mario Jadotte, Michele Jadotte-Simmons, and Martine Jadotte. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Marsha Roc, Alix Roc Jr. and Joseph Simmons III, and one great grandchild: Roman Roc. He is now with his son Jean Rodney Jadotte that passed away many years ago.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm, February 11, 2021 after Palm Eastern Mortuary. Burial will be held immediately following at Palm Eastern Cemetery.
