Peggy was born in Detroit, Michigan to Thelma and Arlington Wingrove on September 1, 1935, the youngest of seven children.
She moved to Alta Dena, California with her parents when she was 13. After graduation from High School, Peggy enlisted in the United States Army, and was assigned to the Pentagon. After her honorable discharge from active duty, Peggy moved to Las Vegas and married Billie Gray. They had one daughter Janice Suzan.
Primarily a homemaker, Peggy was also an artist skilled in painting, ceramics, woodworking, and sewing. Notably, she was the last surviving family member of her generation.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Janice Johnson; grandchildren Kelly, Sierra, Isaac and Tanner Johnson; as well as four generations of nieces and nephews.
