My words to mom:
Mom, you were the strongest woman I ever knew. You were so gentle, loving, compassionate, and selfless words can’t even describe the woman and most of all mother you are. You’ve shown me how to become strong through all the seasons of my life, and you never missed a beat. You even knew exactly what to say and do to remind me of the woman you molded me to be.
One thing about her is that she always fought for everything she wanted, and she never gave up. I can truly say I am nothing without my mom. But I will take all the valuable things I’ve learned as a woman from her, and I will forever remember them and hear your voice in the back of my head when I need extra support through these days.
Mom, I love you, I honor you, and I thank you for showing me the ways through life as a woman, a mother, a wife, and a sister to my siblings. As we hold our heads high as we walk together as your children, I love you forever and always, your oldest daughter, in her words as you’d say your baby.
Love always,
Sabrina M. Smith

Dear Momma,
I stand here strong and proud with the thought that I came to life through you.
Words can't express the way I feel. Anything I try to say feels like less than what we had.
I celebrate your strength, elegance and wisdom, and your ability to selflessly mother everyone, everywhere! My mother of mothers and fathers! Your friends and family truly love you! You are truly one of a kind.
I celebrate all the beautiful times we’ve experienced and the beautiful times I continue to have in my memories...
First you carried me for nine months and now I will carry you with me throughout my life. I hold our love, which is strong and light, pure and funny, and endless, for all the generations to come in our family. Through my children and their children, they will all know you and feel you!
You loved your grandkids endlessly and their feelings are the same!
I’m so grateful to be part of your strong legacy. I honor all that you taught me and I continue to grow and learn.
You believe in the Lord tremendously! You suffered an illness for over 20 years! Even though you were first told you had only two years left to live, you showed everyone how to trust in God because he has the last say! You're no longer in pain!
She went to church faithfully! She can make anyone a believer!
Every person that came in contact with my mother could feel her unwavering love for God! She had this glow about her that could light up a room along with her beautiful smile and heart.
I cherish the 51 years I spent with you.
I did not move on; I moved forward, with you, hand in hand!
I celebrate your life today. You may be gone but all that love remains. It warms and comforts and its foundation is as real as ever.
Today and every single day from now on, your soul is free and happy! You are with the Lord our savior!
I can hear you saying Red my beautiful Angel, I love you!
Mom, I will love you always and forever, until we meet again my Beautiful Queen...
Love always,
Sarina L. Riley

To my momma:
God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.” Youre love and affection is pure, infinite, and unconditional. You were my biggest blessing because you gave birth to me, and once I grew up, you let me fly the nest to explore the world. You loved me with all your heart. Your love for me never changed; in fact, it doubled when I needed it the most. You are my idol, you endured bone crushing pain and brought me into this world, and you made sure I was happy even when you were facing a hard time. Thank you, mom, for your constant support and belief in me. Your words of encouragement inspired me to be humble, work hard and achieve what seemed to be impossible. I may act like a know-it-all in front of you but a day doesn’t pass without seeking your advice. Even though I was not the perfect child, you were a perfect mother to me.
My happiness has always been your happiness. Thank you for everything you have given me, momma. You are the first woman in my life, and I am glad to be known as your son. You have shown how a woman can have patience and ability to run the house and still fulfill her dreams. You started your career while we were toddlers and managed both roles perfectly. I have learned to respect women from you.
You were a loving and caring mother, and at the same time, you were strict. You taught me many valuable life lessons. This helped me take the righteous path in life.
Today, through this letter full of endearment, I want to tell you how much I love you, and no matter how far apart we, are you will always remain my mom.
Love always,
Devon M. Riley
