November 21, 1930 - October 19, 2025
Qui Tran, 94, of Phnom Penh, Cambodia passed away peacefully at home on October 19, 2025.
A lifelong traveler, he explored countless countries across the globe, documenting every journey with care. In each place he visited, he recorded the year, took photos with friends and family he reunited with after moving to the United States, and captured the moments that moved him, creating a living archive of a life well-traveled.
By his side through much of that journey was his beloved wife and travel companion, whom he had known since they were neighboring teenagers. They went on to have a jubilant marriage of 63 years. They were inseparable, often even sitting side by side in the same chair, sharing moments with the same ease as they shared great adventures. Now, they are reunited again.
His dedication to detail and the way he connected with others was a reflection of his diligent spirit. Whether rebuilding electronics, fixing things most would have thrown away, or designing something entirely new just for the joy of it, his hands were rarely still.
He is preceded in death by his son, Yong Fu Thang, and his wife, Le Tu Lam. He is survived by 4 sons, 2 daughters, and 10 grandchildren.
We will miss his stories, his wisdom, and the way he saw the world with open eyes, an open heart, and a laugh that echoed with joy.
Private family services are being planned.
