

Growing up in Buffalo, Rick was very active in sports excelling in football, basketball and track during high school. After playing football at a few universities, he graduated from University of Buffalo and earned an MBA at UNLV.
In 1973, Rick, Mark and Bonnie moved to Las Vegas to begin their careers and try it out for a year. Forty-six years is a good try. Rick became an established and prominent banker in Las Vegas and Reno.
Rick met Ann at a First Interstate Bank versus B of A basketball game in 1975 and they were married at Mt. Charleston in 1978. Spending the 1980’s in Reno, they returned to Las Vegas in 1990.
Rick loved softball, water and snow skiing, golf and traveling with Ann. He and Ann would enjoy time on their boat to ski or fish for many years. They had many dogs and loved them all.
Very close to his family, he enjoyed attending the many events of his nieces and nephew.
Rick is survived by Ann his wife of 40 years; brothers Mark (Bonnie) and Paul (Cookie); brother-in-law Vince; sister-in-law Nancy Chirafisi; nieces Anna and Amanda; nephews Tim (Kristen) Dreschler and Andy (Kelly) Fetterman; Uncle Erv and Aunt Norma Walker in Buffalo; and many cousins. He is also survived by great nephew Harrison; his great niece Adalynn; and numerous other great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on March 21, 2019 with a visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 with services immediately following at Palm Mortuary at 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Opportunity Village.
