Robert "Bob" Glenn Matthews, a long-time resident of southern Nevada and veteran of the Korean War, was born in North Carolina, April 16, 1932. He passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones on November 3, 2013.
Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie and Harry; his oldest daughter, Debbie; and granddaughter, Brandi.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; sons, Michael and Robert Jr.; daughters, Shirley, Barbara, and Penny; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy, Freddie, Johnny; and sister, Eloise.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Palm Mortuary-South Jones, 1600 S. Jones, Las Vegas, Nevada 89146.
Cowboy Bob was loved by many and will be missed tremendously. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Veterans Memorial Fund or the American Cancer Society.
