

2026 in Henderson, Nevada. She was married 72 years to Col (ret) Charles R. Connell lll of Norwich, Connecticut.
She graduated from Norwich Free Academy Norwich, CT in 1952.
They spent a full career in the Army, lived in 8 foreign countries, and she got her Master's Degree from Troy State University in Weisbaden, Germany. She was a dental hygienist and taught oral hygiene to the troops in Heidelberg, Germany. She was a Professor in the Sinai Desert teaching at the bases there.
She is survived by her husband Charles of Henderson, NV, her brother Thomas Vitagliano of Mills River, NC, her 4 children, Kathleen Keutmann (John) of Henderson, NV, Susan Bratton (Larry) of Gun Barrel City, TX, Charles lV (Jan) of Mesa, AZ and William, of the Philippines, 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her Father, Thomas Rocco Vitagliano, Mother, Rose Rygielski Vitagliano, her beloved sisters Pat Sienkowski and Nancy Woodmansee.
She loved to travel, ski, cook, sew and loved doing puzzles in recent years. She loved visiting family all over the world.
Roberta was a compassionate, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend. She was loved by so many and will be remembered, cherished and missed by all.
Viewing will be at Palm Mortuary at 1pm on Wed 13 May followed by a funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 3:30pm.
lnterment will be at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, 14 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, followed by a reception at Palm Mortuary.
