This is when we were in Huntington Beach at the Bungalow. Amazing times again.

I just heard about Sam’s passing and I was so heartbroken… my condolences goes to his family and close friends.  Sam and I met in college when he went to UNLV and joined the same fraternity as me Pi Kappa Phi. Sam and I connected right away since with both played soccer and we were very down to earth.  Very generous person and had so much fun times together. This is when Sam took me to my first Angels game and I brought my dad to his first baseball game and he caught a Mike trout ball. That night we had a great time bar hopping at new port trying to flirt with girls lol we ended up eating corn dogs, and chilling at the beach house later.

My sincere condolences to you and your family.  I enjoyed my time working with Sam and getting to know him.  I will miss him.

I have a Sam too, as you know, and can’t begin to imagine your grief. Living so far away from you, I only met your Sam a handful of times but they were lovely moments. I once stopped by your house when he was very small, five maybe, and he gave me a tour of the house with adorable commentary! I felt so honored and cherish the memory.

I looked up to Sam a lot and he was one of my best friends in high school and I look back fondly at the time I got to spend with him and your family. RIP Sam. 

Sam was like a brother to me….. I’ll never forget all the amazing trips to the beach. Our trips to Disneyland and Angel stadium. All the basketball games, tournaments and camps. Sam was my best friend, brother, and teammate. It absolutely broke my heart hearing the news but I try to find comfort in knowing you are at peace.

Angie, Brady, Hannah and Jack I was devastated to hear the sad news of Sam.  My heart aches for you all.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. 


I feel very grateful to have spent many years close to Sam. He had a genuine, loving and humble soul. Some of our fondest time together was spent in Newport with his family riding bikes, playing tennis, and paddle boarding. I will always associate my best memories living in Vegas with him.

Sending love and sympathy to Brady, Angie, Hannah and Jack who always welcomed me with open arms. My heart aches thinking about this loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Sam shortly after he graduated from UNLV. He was soooo inquisitive about business choices that could lead to success. I enjoyed my time sitting across a lunch table from him and sharing my take on life. He was full of questions and his attentive nature made me feel like some sort of an expert, even though I am not. My message to him on that first lunch meeting was that successful people are early risers. They rise early, exercise, read the paper and eat before most of us even start hitting the snooze alarm. He took that to heart. He was always one of the first to arrive and the last to leave. He took pride in beating me into the office and I enjoyed his company while we locked up the office at the end of each day. His work ethic was top notch. And he will be missed. I only wish I would have conveyed my appreciation of his efforts more often. He was a great person. 

I always remember looking up to Sam as a role model. He was kind, talented, and humble. I’ll always remember him as a good person.  It's terrible news to hear he passed so soon. 

Sam always made me smile.  I pray for comfort and peace.

Sam was one of my first friends in sixth grade when I started at faith. I remember the Catalina trip I sat next to him on the way there and we laughed and had a blast the whole way. Sadly we didn’t remain friends. Absolute great guy. Sad to hear 

I remember Sam fondly.  What a tremendous young man!  

In 2011, for a homework assignment in senior theology class, Sam wrote this:
QUESTION: What is the best thing that ever happened?
SAM'S ANSWER: The best thing that ever happened is Jesus Christ coming and dying for all of mankind's sins and giving us the choice to have faith and eternally praise God.

Based on that profession of faith, I'm looking forward to seeing Sam kicking around the soccer ball or shooting hoops in Heaven!
