Sasha Semenoff Las Vegas violinist, bandleader and songwriter passed away Jan. 5th, 2013. He was born in Riga, Latvia on Sept. 20, 1924. He came to the U.S. in 1949. His wife Sylvia preceded him in death in 2000. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. As a Holocaust survivor, he felt the need to educate and lectured widely on the subject; his message is we must remember and never let this happen again. He is survived by his sister Selma, son Paul, stepson Alan Blum, grandsons Aaron and Joel and great grandson Brody. A Celebration of Life will be held at Maggiano’s in the Fashion Show Mall Sunday Jan. 27th 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas and The Holocaust Survivors Group of Southern Nevada.
