Softball with Spence was always an interesting exoerience. He was a stickler for the rules but always had a funny line to share! He was a solid player and drove the loudest cars I've ever heard! He called me Lucifer,(I guess because my name was Lou)and  I'm sure there are folks who'd agree that the name fit ! ;) He was a good man and he will be missed at the field! He truly was a HALL OF FAMER!

Spencer and I met playing softball about 15 years ago. He was always  a pleasure to play with unless you you didn't follow the "format / rules". We often laughed about it. It "had to  be right". We sometimes talked about cars, staying in shape and real estate.  He was a true gentleman.
We will miss him.

I am so very sorry to hear of Spencer's passing. I enjoyed playing softball with him for over 20 years. Hearing his "HOT ROD" coming through the parking lot, big smile on his face, Going to be a good day! He will be dearly missed by friends and family. May you rest in peace my friend. I’ve always been inspired by Uncle Spencer’s adventurous spirit and passion for life. He lived life to the fullest and seemed to enjoy every minute of it. He was one funny guy and I loved his stories. He faced his share of tragedies in his life, but he didn’t let them take him down.  His family and his beautiful dear Sandy were everything to him.  He loved us all and we loved him.  Aren’t we blessed to have had someone like that in our lives?

I am so sorry to hear my buddy passed away. We had a lot of good times at the drag races, i took Spencer to SEMA show a few times. He love that show. A few years back I told Spencer to sell the junk IROC CAMARO and buy a SS CAMARO. He did and he love that car. Spencer must of told me a hundred times, THANK YOU FOR TALKING ME IN TO BUY THAT CAR.  Few years ago Spencer use to play short stop at Athens softball. Last few years he moved to the outfield.  RIP 🙏

Spence was a good friend, a fellow Air Force officer, a great softball player and a hero because he served in our military. I always knew when he was arriving  at the field when you heard him race his hot car’s engine. He will be missed and my sincere condolences to his family.

I will miss my softball friend and his wave hello with a smile, always a kind word with a caring heart, and his 80's music (usually Journey) blaring as his cool car's engine revved departing the ballfield.   Makes me smile thinking of it.  That's how I'll remember my friend Spencer.
