

Thomas Lee Jetland died April 8, 2017, in Las Vegas. He was born November 3, 1938, in Bismarck, North Dakota, the son of John and Ellen (Ivarie) Jetland. He spent the early years of his life in the Pacific Northwest before settling in Las Vegas. After serving in the Marine Corps, he married Nita Mayes in 1960, and together they raised two children. He was a member of the Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers International Local 3. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with friends in his backyard bar, where he always had cold beer and lively conversation waiting. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings James and Beverly (“Dolly”), and grandson Bryan Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, daughter Brenda (Daniel) Anderson of Las Vegas, son Thomas (Mark Dillon) of Phoenix, and grandson Darin Anderson of Las Vegas. Services will be held at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Road, at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to Infinity Hospice Care in Las Vegas.
