Thomas Lee Mietzner

Thomas “Tom” Lee Mietzner, 54, passed away after a brief illness on March 25, 2017 in Henderson, NV. He was born November 13, 1962 in Peoria, Illinois and graduated from Minidoka County High School in Rupert Idaho in 1982. He went on to attend Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, and Idaho State University in Pocatello graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1990. Tom resided in the Las Vegas/ Henderson area where he worked as a pharmacist. His parents, Reverend Leonard Mietzner and Malvina Mietzner from Rupert, Idaho proceeded him in death. He is survived by his brothers David Mietzner of Henderson, NV, Timothy Mietzner of Pittsburgh, PA, Joel Mietzner of Orcas Island, WA, sister Tamara (Mietzner) Kottkamp of Wenatchee, WA and his friend and colleague, Sing Wong of Henderson, NV. Tom loved to travel and was a devoted uncle to his 11 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Palm Mortuary on 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Friday March 31 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be at Grace Lutheran Church, 2657 W Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson on Saturday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. Burial is planned at a later date in Rupert, Idaho. Donations in Tom’s honor can be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Henderson Memorial Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
