Vernon was born on November 23,1950, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He graduated from Currituck Union High School and attended College of the Albemarle in North Carolina.
Vernon was married and divorced five times. He had a career in multiple areas for the FBI, UPS, Casino Security, and Air Force Reserves.
He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and bowling was a member of several motorcycle and bowling groups over the years.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father Vernon Lee Dozier Sr., and Mazie Bailey Dozier.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Clay and Sherri Morrison, his daughters Jessica Hewett and Natasha Dozier; as well as his grandchildren Samuel Morrison and Gemma Morrison.
Services will be held at a later date.
