William Edward Harvey Jr.

William Edward Harvey Jr age 78 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 at St. Rose Siena Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. William also known as Billy was the son of the late William Edward Harvey Sr. and Lorraine A. Harvey. He was born and raised in Chelsea, MA and attended Chelsea Public Schools. Billy enjoyed working with wood to create things with his hands. He built his own bedroom set at the age of 16 and until today that bedroom set still exists. William was able to enjoy the fruits of his labor for many years.

He attended Northeast Vocational Technical School in Wakefield, MA. Billy was an expert in his craft and he became a Finishing Carpenter. One of his greatest joys was creating blue prints and designs for projects that he worked on. He was so blessed with this gift that he built his own house in New Hampshire many years ago. He has made many contributions in designing and constructing buildings on the east coast. William was a dedicated member of the Carpenters Local Union 328 in Cambridge, MA for 50 years. He was proud of being associated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. William would have been so happy to know that he just received an Honorary Lifetime Membership Gold Card. William is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy P. Harvey. They were married for over 60 years and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada 23 years ago. He was the loving father of his son William Edward Harvey III, who recently passed away on March 26th, 2026. William Edward Harvey Jr. is survived by his sisters, Darlene A. Eskridge (Harvey) and Lorraine M. Harvey both of California and Carol J. Harvey of Chelsea, MA. He is survived by his brothers Lawrence V. Harvey Of Chelsea, MA and Gerald F. Harvey of California. William was preceded in death by two brothers Alan B. Harvey and Joseph M. Harvey Sr. Billy is survived by his nieces, nephews one aunt an uncle and numerous cousins. Graveside Service for William will be Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:00 am at Palm Eastern Cemetery 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89123.
