Harvie Leo Belew

Harvie Leo Belew, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Friday, April 24th, 2026 at his home in Lawrenceburg. Harvie was born on August 14th, 1938 to the late Trigg and Beulah Belew in Lawrenceburg. Harvie worked for many years as a school bus driver for Summertown Elementary and High School. Harvie cherished his time as a bus driver, and would later go on to drive a truck for Lane’s. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, working outdoors, and spending time with his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Judy Belew; daughters, Carolann Belew and Lisa Belew; son, Danny Belew, and his brother, Von Belew.

He is survived by his daughters, Darlene Marks (Terry Haley) and Sheila Downs (David Sampsel); grandchildren, Lee, Joshua, Amanda, Nathan, Shane, Justin, Crystal, Jason, Russell, and Tracey; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy Belew (Faye), Travis Belew (Virginia), and Agnes Clanton.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Monday, April 27th, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Interment services will be held at Old Loretto Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
