Marc Salhany was born to Alan Salhany and Suzanne Jump Salhany on Friday, January 8, 1993. Marc graduated from Bill Egly SDA School, Lawrenceburg; Fletcher Academy, Fletcher, North Carolina; and attended Columbia State Community College, Columbia, Tennessee before joining the United States Navy as a Sonar Operator aboard the USS Port Royal guided missile cruiser, stationed out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Honorably discharged in 2017 Marc continued his education toward an English major and secondary teacher’s certification at Southern Adventist University until the school closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Marc loved to write and composed a number of unpublished works. He also loved music, sang in several choirs, and taught himself to play a number of stringed instruments.
Marc is survived by his parents, brother, Michael Salhany, US Navy; Sister, Krista Renee Salhany Dupont of Naples, Idaho; and Brother Andrew Salhany of Ethridge, TN.
He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, niece, nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Lawrenceburg Seventh-day Adventist Church at 3:00 p.m.
