Rev. Thomas Ted R. Huntley

He was the son of Jesse and Nancy Huntley of Henderson County NC. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Norma Lee Huntley of 52 years, sisters Charlotte Ludlum, Lillian Curtis, Molly Lefteris, Catherine DeWitt and brothers Rev. William 'Buck' Huntley, David 'Tom' Huntley, Monroe Huntley, and George Huntley.

He is survived by brothers Rev. John Huntley and Rev. Wade Huntley of Rutherfordton NC. Left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law Thomas and Joy Huntley, Jerry and Brenda Huntley, Douglas and Stephanie Huntley, Billie and Shena Huntley, Dennis and Contessa Huntley, eleven grandchildren and twenty great- grandchildren. Preacher Ted was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army for 8 years.

He was a 1952 graduate of the Fruitland Baptist Bible College and was the pastor of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, High Street Baptist Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church and Grassy Knob Baptist Church. He most recently pastored Bethel Baptist Church of Lawrence County for 38 years.

Funeral services will be at the Bethel Baptist Church, Leoma TN Saturday July 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev Gary Hodum and Rev Thomas Maddox officiating and interment in Bethel Cemetery.

Family will receive friends 5-8 pm July 17, 2015 at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home chapel at 501 West Gaines St. Lawrenceburg TN 38464.
