She was born April 4, 1948 in Sikeston, Missouri to Byron and Virginia Ward . She graduated from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas in 1967. She married the love of her life, Robin Deane Bledsoe on September 30, 1967. They were married for 38 years before her husband’s passing in 2005. She was a devoted Christian and follower of Christ since her baptism in 1996 at Northwest Fellowship in Austin. She loved her family more than anything and always put her family first and it showed in her devotion as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her passions were her family, her bible, caring for others, and painting art.
Barbara is survived by her two sons, Stacy and Mitch Bledsoe, her two daughter in laws, Deanna and Melissa Bledsoe, her five grandchildren - Kelsea, Lindsey, Madison, Makenzie, and Trenton, her four great-granchildren – Kalani, Kelan, Jaxon, and Maisyn. She is also survived by her four siblings – Jeanette McAnally, Sandy Smith, Jim Ward, and Robin DeMaio and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robin Bledsoe and her parents, Byron and Virginia Ward.
There will be a graveside service held at Liberty Hill Cemetery on September 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm, which will be held by Trey Kent of Northwest Fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Barbara’s name to The Scleroderma Foundation at 300 Rosewood Drive Suite 105 Danvers, MA. 01923 or Hospice Foundation. Barbara’s family would like to acknowledge and give special thanks to one of her caregivers, Wakeshia Davis, who lovingly cared for her and has become a wonderful friend to her family.
