Barbara Lynn (Kreig) Villarreal, age 68, of Liberty Hill, Texas went to be with our Lord on Friday, December 15, 2023 at her home in Liberty Hill. She was born December 23, 1954 in Pontiac, Michigan to Russell Henry Kreig and Mary Louis (Valdez) Kreig.
Barbara grew up in San Antonio where she graduated from Blessed Sacrament Academy and attended San Antonio College for a year. She went to work in the mortgage company industry where she excelled and was well respected by her colleagues. Barbara retired in 2008.
Barbara met the love of her life, Robert David Villarreal, in 1974. Living in San Antonio, Texas where they dated for 5 years and married in 1979.
She was preceded in death by her two precious babies, Philip Andrew Villarreal and Stephanie Lynn Villarreal, her parents, Russell and Mary Louis Kreig and her brother, John Kreig. She is survived by her husband of 44 plus years, Robert David Villarreal, her siblings: Linda (Jose) Ancira, Beverly (John) Saxton, Russell II (Norma) Kreig and Julie Kreig, and many nieces and nephews.

In moments of darkness, Barbara was the light that guided us through, reminding us that love and compassion can overcome even the deepest sorrows. Her passion for life was infectious, and she approached every challenge with resilience and grace. Barbara's unwavering spirit taught us the true meaning of courage, and her boundless love created a tapestry of beautiful memories that we will forever hold close to our hearts."
A Celebration of life will take place at her home on a date to be determined.
