Bonnie N. Clausen

She was born July 28, 1951, in Centreville, Mississippi, the daughter of David C. Nunnery and Patsy (Allred) Nunnery. Interment will be at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.

After high school graduation, Bonnie studied and passed the examinations to become a Certified Professional Secretary and worked as an Executive Secretary in the financial services industry for many years. In 1988, she married the love of her life, Tom Clausen. They lived in Fulshear, Texas, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Leander, Texas, celebrating 32 years of marriage this past year.

Bonnie was a lifelong Baptist and a member of the New Hope First Baptist Church. She was a friend to all, loved her cat, Beau, watching football games, planting beautiful flowers in her yard, bible study classes, book club, and bunco buddies. Canning and cooking were her forte! She won many awards at the New Mexico State Fair each year. Bonnie maintained many friendships through the years with her girlfriends who will miss her very much.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded by a brother, Jimmy Dale Nunnery. She is survived by her husband, Tom Clausen; two step daughters, Brenda and Lisa Clausen, one grandson, Ethan Clausen, brothers, David (wife Betty); Jerry (wife Karen) and Gene (wife Antoinette) and numerous nieces and nephews.
