

Carol was born to Leonard “Dean” Boll and Beulah Boll on June 28, 1941, in Wilsey, Kansas. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Carol lived many places before settling in the Austin, Texas area.
After having her children, she returned to school to study nursing earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Highest Honors from the University of Texas. Carol loved helping and caring for others. She worked as an R.N. several places spending the final and most rewarding years of her nursing career working at the Austin State School. After her retirement, Carol returned to Council Grove, Kansas to help care for her mother. Carol was a voracious reader, enjoyed gardening, and spending time outdoors.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her friend, David Sterling. She is survived by her children Katherine Henley (Glenn); James Stack (Megan); Ann Stack, and Samantha Fulford (Rob). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Slaughter (Kayla), Miles Ruffin, Jared Slaughter, Connor Stack, Caroline Stack, Calder Meis, Mary Katherine Henley, Austin Fulford, her great-grandchildren, Adelyn Slaughter and Jackson Slaughter and her brother, Virgil Boll (Patricia). She is missed by all.
Carol will be laid to rest near her parents in the Wilsey Cemetery in Wilsey, Kansas. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at Zilker Botanical Gardens at a later date.
