Muoi was trained as a nurse after she completed her secondary education. At a private social club (where they were both members) she met her late husband (Dien Dieu Tran) and started a family. In addition to raising four children, she owned and operated a business making custom-made buttons. 1983, she migrated to the US with her husband and the youngest daughter to join her other three children that had migrated to the US prior. She was very proud of working for Abbott Laboratory most of her career. Muoi enjoyed travelling, flower arrangement, singing, and was an amazing chef.
Muoi is survived by her daughter Vicky and husband Ron; son Tom and wife Elena; son Eric and wife Lynn; daughter Heidi; granddaughters Naomi and husband Peter; Granddaughters Alexandra, Lauren, and Ashley; Grandsons Andy, and Ethan; Great grandson Nathan; Sisters Jenny Du, Alice Huang, Maria Du; and brothers Jimmy Tran and Xuong Hung Du.
Muoi was a wonderful and loving mother and will forever be loved and missed.
