Curtis John Lear, Sr., 65, passed away on Friday September 16, 2022 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Bertha Lear. He was born in Lebanon on January 25, 1957, a son of the late John and Arlene Hemperly Lear. Curtis worshipped at the Lebanon LCBC Church and loved photographing almost anything, but was particularly fond of flowers and covered bridges. He has an extensive collection of his photos. He also enjoyed collecting comics and spending time vacationing in Rehoboth Beach with his family. He was a self-taught “computer genius.” His greatest joy came from his grandchildren. He cherished every opportunity to be with them. Curtis is survived by his son: Curtis Lear, Jr.; 7 grandchildren; sisters: Lynette Lear and Barbara wife of Asahel Lukens; Niece: Melissa Cruz. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a son: Daniel Ryan Lear. There will be a viewing held on Monday September 26, 2022 from 6 to 7 P.M. in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, 17042 with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm. Interment with full military honors will be on Tuesday September 27th in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with a procession leaving the funeral home at 9:00 am. The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU Unit at the Lebanon VA Medical Center for the warm and compassionate care they provided in caring for Curtis.
