

Ernest P. “Pete” Soliday, 82, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, January 19th, 2015 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born on October 28th, 1932 in Lebanon, a son of the late Adam P. and Dorothy Shauer Ganster Soliday. He was the husband of the late Marion G. Gianoulos Soliday who passed away August 11th, 1997. Mr. Soliday was retired from Quaker Alloy, Myerstown where he was a Supervisor. After his retirement he went on to work for Plain and Fancy Kitchen Cabinets, Schaefferstown and Hains’ Pattern Shop, Myerstown. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F.W. post # 23, Lebanon, Friendship Fire Co., American Legion Post #910, Lickdale, R Field and Stream, Iona U.M.C. where he was a substitute Sunday School Teacher and Scout Troop Leader. Surviving are his son Derek P., husband of Debra Soliday; Wendy S. Williams; Becky L. Soliday all of Lebanon; granddaughter: Laura Soliday; great grandchildren: Kerinne and Damien Wild. He was predeceased by his son, Randall T. Soliday and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Wild. A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, Pa., 17042 on Monday, January, 26th, 2015 at 12:00PM with a viewing from 11:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at 1:30PM. Contributions may be made in Mr. Soliday’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675.
